Documentary photographer Pasha Volkov has been joining a guerrilla skate team as they scale to the top of VDNKh, a modernist exhibition centre opened in 1939 in the centre of Moscow with an irresistible rooftop haven.
“Climbing roofs, walking the tunnels of the Metro by dark, skateboarding restricted areas – they’re all ways of taking back the city. It’s our idea of freedom” explains Andrey Urodov, founder of Russia For Us.
